So, you’ve survived a few auditions and maybe done a gig or two. Now you want to know more and are looking for a fun, safe environment where you can explore the skills and techniques necessary for voice acting….well here it is..
The ACTRA Maritimes Training Committee is pleased to offer an Introduction to Voice Over.
Working with ACTRA Maritimes member and experienced voice artist Thelma Farmer and one of Halifax’s most respected audio producers, John Rosborough of RPM Studios, you’ll explore voice acting fundamentals including: studio etiquette, breath and microphone technique, controlling nervousness, script interpretation, acting choices, the characters that live within you and much more…
By the end of the weekend you’ll have a better understanding of the voice acting craft, and the skills and techniques you need to succeed.
So come, explore, ask questions, have fun and learn about the art of Voice Over and the nature of the industry.
This class is recommended for the novice – students who’ve had some previous professional acting or broadcasting experience, or former voice actors interested in getting back into the business.
Course cost: 150.00 (remember that 10 dollars per student fee will kick back into the Training fund. So you are also supporting membership!)
Maximum Students : 10
Deadline for Registration : November 16, 2007
Course Dates: November 24th and 25th 2007
I just want to add to the membership that we will consider running a second class if the demand is there. The course break-down prepared by Thelma is top notch, combined with the amazing studio space provided by RPM and the dynamic charisma and experience that both Thelma and John bring to the table equals a course you can’t miss!
