Using the Background Performers Hotline

As you might imagine, compiling the list of members interested in working background every Monday is a time-consuming task for Jeannine every Monday. You can make it much easier and ensure that your name goes on the list by carefully doing the following:
- Call the Hotline at 420-1404 before 9am Monday morning. Those calling after this time will not be included in that week's Background list.
- Give your availability for the following Wedneday through Tuesday.
- Only cite those days when you are available for the entire day. We cannot record that you are available only in the morning or only after 5pm. etc.
- When leaving your message, include your name, your member number, your availability for the following Wednesday through Tuesday period and if you have your own vehicle and can therefore get to set.
- No extra details can be accommodated, e.g. differentiating between availability for stand-in or background work; letting us know that you have changed your look (instead - submit a new photo); detailing your level of experience (again, that is what the Talent Directory is for).
- The report is generated from the national membership database. The following info will be taken from your member profile: Address, Phone Number, Business Phone Number, Cell Phone Number, Agent, Agent Phone Number.
If this information is not up to date, the info going out to production will not be correct. So, if you have contact information changes, go to the For Memberssection and download the Change of Address form. Complete this and send it in so that we can make sure that your info is completely up to date.
The Hotline is not the place to leave address changes.
Also, be advised that production accountants get very upset when you leave incorrect membership numbers. This slows payment and screws up the deductions. So, note that an Apprentice member number looks like this: AM-12345 . (You have to have the AM and hyphen).
Full member numbers look like this: 07-12345 . If you are confused as to your membership number, give us a call.
By sticking to the above practices, you will make the Background Performers Hotline much more effective and efficient!
